King County Tax Relief Information


You may qualify for a deferral of your property tax liability if:

  • You are 60 or older, or retired because of physical disability.
  • You own the home in which you live and occupy it at least nine months a year.
  • Your household income for 2023 was $88,998 or less.
  • You meet equity requirements.

Deferrals and interest become a lien on your property until you repay the total amount.


Income limit (based on 2023 earnings)
  • Your annual income must be under $84,000, including Social Security and other sources
Age and/or disability (at least one)
  • At least age 62 the first year you apply
  • Disabled or a veteran with a service-connected evaluation of at least 80% total disability rating
Ownership and occupancy
  • You own the residence as of December 31 of the prior year of the property tax year
  • You occupy the residence for at least 6 months each year (for tax years 2022 and 2021)
  • You occupy the residence for at least 9 months each year (for tax year 2020)

If you qualify, the exemption continues as long as you are eligible. You’ll need to notify the Assessor’s Office if there’s any change to your status or income. More information is at 206-296-3920.

If you don’t receive SSI benefits, you need to complete a Proof of Disability Form (125 KB PDF download).

Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center offers a variety of activities that welcome diverse group of adults age 50+ to participate in recreational, social, health, educational, and nutritional services. Our staff, volunteers, instructors and facilitators strive to foster a fun, relaxed atmosphere where lasting friendships form and memories are created.

We offer a variety of programs per week and continue to add new ones each quarter. We have plenty of parking and our facility is 100% ADA accessible. Welcome to the Center!

We offer a variety of Classes and Groups here at the center and a few online (ZOOM) fitness classes.
Some of our Fitness Classes include Yoga, TaiChi & Clogging other than regular exercises. CLICK HERE to go to Classes section under “Activities” tab.

Medical Services

Love your feet? Foot care provider Echo Aumick is now at the senior center to provide in-person foot care. Echo skillfully clips nails, files callouses, and works to shape up your feet.
Members – $22; Non-members – $35; Adult Family Home – $20
Call the Center at 206-365-1536 to provide your name & phone number and Echo will contact you with an appointment date and time.

Bastyr’s senior level students are back with full services every Tuesday AM. New Supervising Doctor Kris Somol, ND.
Cost: Members $15 per visit, Non-members $20 per visit, due at the time of scheduling your appointment.

FREE Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar checks; Tuesday from 10 am – 11:40 am.
FREE DISPENSARY pick-up: Ask during your appointment.

Acupuncture appointments are available the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Group sessions. Provider Andee Booth will provide group acupuncture (4 individuals per hour). Call the reception desk at 206-365-1536 to make an appointment.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to qualify for refund!
