Our Mission

We support people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services.

Our Vision

We envision a just society where aging adults and those who care about them can live their best lives.

Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center offers a variety of activities that welcome diverse group of adults age 50+ to participate in recreational, social, health, educational, and nutritional services. Our staff, volunteers, instructors and facilitators strive to foster a fun, relaxed atmosphere where lasting friendships form and memories are created.

We offer a variety of programs per week and continue to add new ones each quarter. We have plenty of parking and our facility is 100% ADA accessible. Welcome to the Center!

Activities

We offer a variety of Classes and Groups here at the center and a few online (ZOOM) fitness classes.
Some of our Fitness Classes include Yoga, TaiChi & Clogging other than regular exercises. CLICK HERE to go to Classes section under “Activities” tab.
Our Lifelong Learning groups include The Art Club, Basic Knitting, Driftwood Sculpture or Pinochle just to mention a few. CLICK HERE to go to Clubs & Groups section under “Activities” tab.

 


Medical Services

FOOTCARE:
Love your feet? Foot care provider Echo Aumick is now at the senior center to provide in-person foot care. Echo skillfully clips nails, files callouses, and works to shape up your feet.
Members – $22; Non-members – $30; Adult Family Home – $20
Call the Center at 206-365-1536 to provide your name & phone number and Echo will contact you with an appointment date and time.

BASTYR NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE:
Bastyr’s senior level students are back with full services every Tuesday AM. New Supervising Doctor Kris Somol, ND.
Cost: $15 per visit, due at the time of scheduling your appointment.
Call the Center at 206-365-1536 to make an appointment.
FREE Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar checks; Tuesday from 10 am – 11:40 am and 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
FREE DISPENSARY pick-up: Ask during your appointment.

Acupunture
Acupuncture appointments are available the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Group sessions. Provider Andee Booth will provide group acupuncture (4 individuals per hour). Call the reception desk at 206-365-1536 to make an appointment.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to qualify for refund!
Day: 1st and 3rd Mondays
Time: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Cost: $15 per visit (Payment due at the time of scheduling)
