We have an exciting month as spring slips into sun shining summer in June at the Shoreline Lake Forest Park Senior Center! We’ve got lots of exciting events to exercise, entertain, and inform our members and newcomers alike. Our Summer Quarter activity guide will be available soon, but we thought we’d give you a preview. In our Summer Shorts for Seniors series, we’ve got something for all the University of Washington husky fans out there with librarian Julia Gibson reading from The History of University of Washington on Friday, June 7th from 1pm to 2pm. We have a Community Conversation hosted by GenPRIDE of Seattle entitled Coming Out Later in Life on Wednesday, June 12th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in our multipurpose room. Our monthly Birthday Celebration on Thursday, June 20th, welcomes guitarist Tony Bachler, so come on in to enjoy apple glazed salmon and some sweet tunes. If you’re looking for a bit of tête-à-tête, our instructor Jill Capozzoli hosts an intermediate French conversation class weekly. Come join our community in person and online, with our website getting a fresh design throughout June and get the latest events and news on our Facebook here.
