The good news is that falling is not an inevitable part of the aging process. Middle-aged and older adults can reduce their risk of falling by knowing their fall risk factors. In this class you will learn the risk factors of falling so that you will be able to decrease fear of falling and the risk of falling. We focus especially on the topic of the importance of regular exercise, what kind of exercise can improve a person’s balance, and how to start being active if you never have in the past. Anybody will benefit from this class, including family members of seniors. |

It is fun and great exercise for all ages, and danced to all genres of music. Learn the basic steps utilized in all levels of clogging. No dance experience necessary. Clogging is always “cued” by the instructor, like square dancing. |

Drop-in Gentle Yoga and Chair Yoga classes begin and end with breath awareness and mindful meditation, and include a series of poses to work each part of your body.

In this 4-part series, you will learn about physiology of these common conditions and how Yoga can help. Each class will begin with 15 minutes of discussion followed by 45 minutes of Yoga practice designed to build bone health (density and structure), improve balance and reduce the risk of fracture. Class will include poses on the mat or chair and standing. Minimum enrollment: 5; maximum enrollment: 20 |

Meditation with Mary | Mary Newbill
| $6 members $8 nonmembers | Thursday | 1:00pm-2:00pm | September 10th-October 29th | Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation and enhance personal and spiritual growth. This class is open to new students as well as experience practitioners. Relax, rejuvenate and gift yourself an hour a week to step away from the emotions of all that is going on around us at this time. |
